Rubber extruder screw design

Rubber extruder is a kind of equipment used to produce rubber products, which usually plays the role of extrusion molding in the production of rubber products. During the production process, the feeding system enters the screw cylinder to heat up, and then pushes the rubber to the extruder die for extrusion molding with the rotation of the screw.

Generally, the screw of rubber extruder can be divided into three parts. The first part is from the feeding system. The rubber enters the screw cylinder through the feeding system and then moves the rubber forward with the rotation of the screw, in this part, we call it the conveying section or the preheating section. The second part is in the middle of the screw barrel of the extruder, about the 1/3 length of the equipment screw, rubber in this part of the shear, compression, mixing and a series of processing. So we call this part of the processing section of the screw. The processed rubber is continuously transported forward to reach the part closest to the die. We call it the metering section. The rubber is measured forward to the die in this part to form a stable extrusion pressure, so call it the measurement segment.

The screw of the rubber extruder is a key part of the rubber extruder. The screw design used in different rubber production is also different, and the equipment needs to be selected according to the needs.
