Difference between twin screw and single screw
Aug 02, 2021
Single Screw Machine and twin screw machine: one is a screw, the other is two screws, which are driven by a motor. Power varies depending on the screw. The power of 50 cone pairs is about 20KW, and that of 65 is about 37KW. The output is related to materials and screws. The output of 50 cone pairs is about 100-150kg/H, and that of 65 cone pairs is about 200-280kg/H. The output of single screw is only half. Extruders can be divided into single screw, twin screw and multi-screw extruders according to the number of screws. At present, single screw extruder is widely used and suitable for extrusion processing of general materials. The twin-screw extruder has less heat generated by friction, relatively uniform shearing of materials, relatively large conveying capacity of screws, relatively stable extrusion volume, and long retention of materials in the barrel, mix evenly.
