Daily maintenance: Regular maintenance is carried out without taking up equipment operation time, usually completed while driving. The key is to clean the machine, lubricate all moving parts, tighten loose threads, and promptly inspect and adjust motors, control instruments, various working components, and pipelines.
Routine maintenance: The extruder generally stops running after 2500-5000 hours of continuous operation. The machine is disassembled, inspected, measured, and the wear condition of the main components is identified. Parts that have reached the wear limit are replaced and damaged parts are repaired.
These two maintenance processes complement each other and are indispensable. What should be paid attention to in the daily maintenance of twin-screw extruders?
1. Because the electrical control system has high requirements for environmental temperature and dust prevention, it is necessary to isolate the electrical system from the production site and install ventilation and ventilation fans. It is recommended to place the electrical control box in a simple room to maintain cleanliness and ventilation, and ensure that the indoor temperature does not exceed 40 ℃.
2. The twin-screw extruder cannot run empty, otherwise the screw and the machine cannot rotate. When idling during startup, it is not allowed to exceed 100r/min. When starting the host, start at low speed first, check for any abnormal noise after starting the host, and then slowly increase the host speed to the allowable range of the process (it is better to be able to adjust to a stable state). When grinding with modern machines, the current load is 60-70%, and the normal operating current should not exceed 90%. Note: If there is any abnormal sound during the operation of the extruder, it should be stopped immediately for maintenance or repair.
3. Start the oil pump, turn off the oil pump, and then turn off the oil pump; During the entire production process, the water pump is always in working condition and keeps running. To avoid the decomposition and carbonization of the cylinder caused by the temperature rise of the machine barrel, the asbestos hood of the main fan needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent excessive dust from adhering to the hood, which may cause the motor to overheat and trip due to insufficient heat dissipation.
4. Quickly remove dust, tools, and debris from the surface of the unit.
5. Be careful to prevent metal or other debris from falling into the hopper to avoid damaging the screw and barrel. In order to prevent iron impurities from entering the barrel, magnetic suction pieces or magnetic frames can be installed at the feed inlet to prevent impurities from falling down in advance. The materials must be sieved in advance.
6. The production environment of the product is clean, and it is not allowed for garbage and impurities to mix on the filter plate, block the filter plate, affect product quality, and increase machine head resistance.
7. The gearbox should use the lubricating oil specified by the machine instructions, and add oil according to the specified oil level height. If the oil level is too low and the lubrication is insufficient, it will reduce the service life of the components; Excessive oil, high heat generation, high energy consumption, and easy deterioration of oil can also cause damage to parts. The leaking parts of the gearbox should be replaced with sealing gaskets (rings) in a timely manner to ensure lubricating oil lubrication.
