What points should be noted during barrel and screw plasticizing?

There are two main processing techniques for barrel and screw plasticizing: heat treatment and nitriding. What points should we pay attention to when performing these two processes?

1. Check if color powder has been added to the raw material in the barrel and screw, and whether the temperature setting matches the material properties. Also, be careful of oil inside the barrel of a new machine.

2. Clean regularly. The specific method is to remove the rubber head and burn off any remaining material using a flame. If this is too troublesome, you can simply replace the rubber head with a new one.

3. When using PC material, a dedicated barrel and screw should be used to prevent corrosion and the formation of black residue.

4. Avoid static electricity in the raw material conveying pipes. Static electricity can cause black spots on the produced product, affecting the quality of the plasticized product.

5. Pay attention to the quality of the heating element. When the raw material is regenerated inside the barrel and screw, if the heating element is of poor quality, coupled with the high regeneration temperature, the plasticizing result will be poor.
