But if the cause of wear and tear is ignored, the wear and tear will not be reduced as much as possible, and the working life of the screw will be greatly reduced.

1. Each kind of plastic material has an ideal plastic processing temperature range, so the processing temperature of the barrel should be controlled to close to the temperature range. Granular plastic from the hopper into the barrel, the first will arrive at the feeding section in the feeding section will appear dry friction, when insufficient, these plastics are heated melting, a barrel wall and screw wear surface increases easily; similarly, the compression section and homogeneous section, if the molten plastic is not disorder both will cause wear.


2. the speed should be adjusted properly. Because part of the plastic is added with a fortifier, such as glass fiber, minerals, or other filling materials. These materials are often much more abrasive than the molten plastic. When injection of these plastics, if the high speed is used, the shear force of plastic will also be increased, meanwhile, more fibers will be reinforced, and the shredded fibers will contain more sharp ends, which will greatly increase the wear force. When the inorganic minerals are gliding at a high speed on the metal surface, the scraping effect is not small. So the speed should not be adjusted too high.
